Our Stallion

We are proud to present Double R’s Hill Farm’s Duke. He will stand at stud in 2008 to a limited number of mares. COLOR POSSIBILITES for this stallion are unbelievable. After having Duke tested by UC Davis, he is genetically a Liver Chestnut Roan with a Sabino gene. The Roan and Sabino gene modifiers are dominant, therefore, he will throw color of various shades and/or patterns. If you are interested in finding out offspring possibilities with your mare, just give us a call. Duke is registered with the KMSHAAGMHA, and RHBEA. Duke did rather well as a yearling in confirmation, winning the 2005 KMSHA International Grand Championship Futurity/Yearling Confirmation, 2005 AGHSA High Point Halter Champion, and won the 2005 AGHSAOpen Model Championship against the aged stallions and mares. Due to an injury during breaking, Duke was not show in 2006. In 2007, he competed in the Country Trail Pleasure division. He won the AGHSA Year End High Point Award for Mountain Horse favorite gait and was the reserve champion for the South Central Regional Country Trail Pleasure High Point Award. Duke is a light strawberry roan with a white mane and tail and is currently 15.2 and growing.

  • On October 12, 2007, Duke won the solid Trail Obstacle at the Arkansas Charity Show in Searcy, Arkansas. On October 13, 2007, he won the AGHSA Mountain Horse Favorite Gait class and was the Reserve Champion in the UMH/SC Country Trail Pleasure Division. He is also second place in the South Central Regional Country Trail Pleasure High Point program for 2007.
